 The
Suite :
You will feel right at home in the suite comprising of a large lounge and two en suite bedrooms. The warm and comfortable accommodation is on the top floor of the chateau and ideal for families. Curled up on the settee in front of the fire or snug in bed under the eaves you will certainly enjoy the calm. The children meanwhile have their own space in a lovely room with twin beds and decorated with maritime paintings. A bubble bath or hydro massage in the teak shower ? – it’s all possible in the suite.

Room 7 :
Nestling in the timber framed manor house and with a view over the park this room is finished in a floral theme using red and orange tones to create a relaxing atmosphere. A four poster bed and Louis Philippe style furnishings provide an impression of warmth topped off by brick fire place. A ship’s bunk, strewn with cushions and under the natural light of the window, provides the ideal couch on which to sit and admire the view.

Room 8 :
Situated in the manor house snug and elegant under its exposed beams, the main feature of this room is the sumptuous four poster bed strewn with cushions. The warm colours of the bed spread and the curtains combine magnificently with the wonderful Persian rug. A Louis XV style wardrobe and furnish complete the effect of warmth and itimacy in this genuine love nest.

Room 9 :
On the first floor of the manor house this room affords a magnificent view over the park, the old cider press and the stables. The bright room is finished in moderate tones with exposed ceiling beams and Louis XVI chairs. Two twin beds benefit from the warmth of the open fire place while opposite there is a delightful angled sofa.

Room 10 :
The soft tones of this very special room in the manor house are designed to set off the plum coloured cushions. The soft lighting of the lounge area in front of the fireplace provides a delicate atmosphere to take a drink or simply relax. Lovers of art deco will appreciate the brick chimney while more serious aficionados will be impressed by the purity of the Imari porcelain.

11 :
Romantic evenings are assured in this Venetian style room under the light of its elegant Murano glass chandelier. The spacious room in cream tones has a superb bed and white lacquered furniture which brings a sense of brightness to the overall atmosphere. Italian style furniture including a wardrobe and dressing table carved with floral garlands bring a real touch of Venice to Normandy.

Room 12 :
Located on the first floor of the chateau this room looks out over the park and is a masterpiece of elegance. The sober style of the Louis XVI furniture sits perfectly with the Aleppo pine fireplace and is set off by the lively colours of the carefully chosen paintings. The beautiful chandeliers, lovely framed mirror and the gilded bell clock will really make you feel you are staying at a friend’s house rather than a hotel.

14 :
From this bright and airy room you can see the dovecote and the orchard recently planted to produce the chateau’s own cider. An 18th century water colour hangs by the bed. The atmosphere is both rustic and romantic with the curtains and bedspread livened up by floral motifs. Through the calm of the countryside you can sometimes only hear the sound of the horses in the fields.

Room 15 :
Soft and romantic, this room nestles at the heart of the chateau and features lovely white lacquered furniture around a wood carved bed. A delightful dressing table, additional sofa and comfortable chairs are arranged around the grey marble fireplace. From the window, you can gaze out over the grounds and the magnificent alley of oak and chestnut trees.

16 :
Walls of Naples yellow hung with pastel watercolours, a splendid chandelier and a rounded bed under a the canopy of a four poster, this room in the right wing of the chateau really encapsulates the good life. This is particularly the case with the private balcony overlooking the park and the Italian fountain. Where better to enjoy breakfast in the fresh air and warm sunshine of Normandy?

Room 17 :
This small but perfectly formed room provides a cosy escape for sleep or relaxation. Finished in delicate yellows with watercolours representing seaside holidays, the rooms look out over the well and the old cider press where white pigeons sit cooing on the slate roof.

Room 21 :
A final flight of stairs brings you to the top floor of the chateau and this delightful and peaceful room. Louis XVI style twin beds lie close to a Louis Philippe desk. During his stays here, Marcel Proust would most certainly have retired to the attic to write and he would no doubt appreciate the desk in front of the window as much as the tranquillity today.

Room 22 :
This mauve coloured attic room is a little love nest, secreted away from the rest of the chateau. The large, comfortable bed is wedged between exposed beams and is almost covered by the fluffy cushions which match the curtains. The painted walls are adorned with sensual pictures and it would not be surprising if you didn’t even want to leave the room to discover the area.
